There are several ways to get involved with the Portsmouth Players...

We have two tiers of membership; tier 1 is for anyone wanting to get involved in all aspects of Players.  This tier can involve as much or as little as you're interested in and just involves an application process.  There are different areas to help out in; backstage, costumes, wardrobe, props, scenery development or, just being part of a fantastic, familial, fun company.

Tier 2 is for those interested in performing on stage with the Players.  You'll need to audition for tier 2 membership, by preparing two contrasting musical theatre songs (backing tracks only, please, which we can play from your phone).  You will take part in a dance workshop, so make sure you bring your dancing shoes or trainers!  You will also perform a piece of dialogue, which we'll send to you in advance for you
to prepare.  Lastly, you must be 18 years or older to join us (tier 1 or 2)...

Lastly, there are our friends!  Friends of Players are for those who want to be involved with the Players, but don't want the commitment of tier 1 or 2.  You'll receive updates that our tier membership receive, and also be able to attend our general meetings (which happen twice a year).  There will be invites to Players events (social events, and also access to specific rehearsals) and you'll recieve our bi-annual newsletters and updates from the committee
